Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Nepsor Technology Pvt. Ltd., established in Kathmandu, Nepal (“IOMMock”, “we”, “us”), covering your use of the IOMMock website, progressive web app, content, AI features, paid plans and everything else we provide (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these Terms.

You accept these Terms by creating an account, signing in with Google, making a payment, or otherwise using the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must have read these Terms and agreed to them on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of the Service, including any payments.
• You may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to obtain extra free allowances, extra AI usage, referral rewards or leaderboard positions is prohibited.
• You may not use the Service if we have previously suspended or terminated an account of yours for breaching these Terms.

3. Your account

• Give us accurate information and keep it current. The name on your account is shown, in masked form, on public leaderboards and in full on any community material you publish.
• Keep your password private and your Google account secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
• Accounts are personal. You may not share, sell, lend or transfer your account or let anyone else use your paid plan.
• Verify your email when asked; some features and all payment-related email depend on a working address.
• We may suspend or restrict an account while we investigate suspected fraud, abuse or a security incident. Suspended accounts cannot sign in.

4. What the Service is, and is not

IOMMock provides model questions, full-length and topic-wise mock tests, a daily quiz, reading notes, analytics, a study planner, flashcards, AI-assisted explanations, and rank and college predictors, all aimed at Nepal’s MECEE-BL entrance examination.

• We are independent. IOMMock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Medical Education Commission (MEC), the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Tribhuvan University or any medical college. Nothing on the Service is an official notice unless it links to the official source.
• Our questions are model questions. MEC does not release past papers. Our questions are written to the published blueprint and syllabus and reviewed for accuracy, but they are not leaked or official papers and are not a promise of what will appear in the real exam.
• No guarantee of results. Scores, ranks, percentiles, rank predictions, college predictions and AI explanations are estimates and study aids. They are computed from your performance and from merit lists that MEC has published, and they may be wrong. They do not guarantee admission, a rank, or a seat anywhere, and they are not academic, career or professional advice.
• Syllabus and rules change. We update the Service when MEC revises the blueprint, but you are responsible for checking official MEC notices for the exam you are sitting.
• The Service changes. We may add, alter, limit or remove features, question sets, plans and allowances at any time. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will give notice, and section 6 covers your refund options.

5. Free and paid plans

The Free plan includes a limited set of mocks, practice, the daily quiz and free reading materials, with the limits shown on /pricing. Plus and Ultra plans unlock more, as described there on the day you buy.

• Prices are in Nepali rupees (NPR) and include any applicable taxes unless the checkout says otherwise. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
• One-time payment, fixed period. Every plan is a single payment for a fixed number of months. There is no automatic renewal and we never store a payment method. When the period ends your account returns to Free and your history is kept.
• Buying again while active extends your premium period from its current end date, so you never lose paid time by renewing early. Buying a different tier while one is active never downgrades you: the higher of the two tiers applies for the whole combined period.
• Gateway payments (eSewa, Khalti) are activated automatically once the gateway confirms the transaction and the amount matches. Your agreement with the gateway governs the payment itself.
• Manual payments (direct wallet or bank transfer) are activated after we match your submitted proof against the money received, normally within one working day. We may reject a proof that does not match, is reused, or looks altered, and will tell you why. Sending money without submitting the proof form, or to a channel not listed on the checkout page, is at your own risk.
• Promotional or free premium granted by us (for example a tournament prize or a goodwill credit) has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be withdrawn if it was obtained by breaching these Terms.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Paid plans are digital content delivered immediately, so they are generally non-refundable once used. We will nonetheless give a full refund if:

• you ask within 7 days of purchase and have not used any premium feature in that time (no premium mock, chapter test, AI tutor turn, doubt, premium material or premium analytics);
• you were charged more than once for the same plan, or charged without the plan being activated, and we cannot fix the activation;
• we permanently withdraw a core feature of your plan during your paid period, in which case we refund the unused portion pro rata.

Refunds go back to the eSewa, Khalti or bank source you paid from, within 14 days of our approval. Gateway fees that the gateway does not return to us may be deducted. To request one, contact us (section 20) with the transaction reference and the email on your account.

There is no refund for a change of mind after the 7-day window, for unused time when you stop using the Service, for a plan that expires normally, or where we terminate the account for a breach of these Terms. Nothing here limits any statutory right you cannot waive under Nepal’s Consumer Protection Act, 2075 (2018).

7. AI tutor, doubt-solving and study plans

Some features send your input to a third-party large language model and show you the reply. By using them you agree that:

• Answers can be wrong. AI explanations, doubt solutions and generated study plans are produced by a statistical model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Check anything important against your textbook or teacher, and do not rely on them as your only source.
• Usage is limited by the daily and monthly allowances of your plan, shown on /pricing and in the feature itself. An allowance unit is consumed when a request is sent, including a request that fails or that the model declines to answer, because the upstream cost has already been incurred.
• Only study content. Upload only photographs of questions, notes or diagrams you are entitled to share. Do not upload photos of people, identity documents, medical records or anyone’s personal data, and do not use the AI to generate abusive, illegal, or non-study content or to attempt to override its instructions.
• Your input is processed abroad by the providers named in the Privacy Policy, and we keep the conversation on your account so you can revisit it.
• We may review AI conversations to investigate abuse, improve prompts and fix questions, and we may switch model providers at any time without notice.

8. Referral programme

Signed-in students can share a personal invite link. When someone creates an account through it and later buys their first paid plan:

• the new student gets 10% off that first plan, applied automatically at checkout; and
• the referrer earns a commission of 10% of the amount the new student actually paid, credited once that payment is confirmed.

• Earnings can be paid out by eSewa, Khalti or bank transfer once the balance reaches NPR 500. Payout requests are reviewed manually and normally paid within 14 days. You are responsible for entering correct destination details and for any tax due on what you earn.
• Each account can be referred once, only at sign-up, and only by the link it actually used. Referrals are not applied retroactively or to existing accounts.
• Prohibited: referring yourself, creating accounts for other people, paying or coercing people to sign up, posting your link as spam, misrepresenting the Service or the reward, or any other manipulation. We may void referrals, cancel earnings, reverse a discount and close accounts involved.
• If a referred purchase is refunded or reversed, the related commission is reversed too.
• We may change the percentages, minimum payout or eligibility rules, or end the programme, with notice on the referral page. Earnings already confirmed remain payable.

9. Our content and your licence to use it

The questions, answer explanations, reading notes, blog posts, predictions, software, design, logos and everything else on the Service (other than user content, section 10) belong to Nepsor Technology Pvt. Ltd. or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and its content for your own exam preparation. You may not:

• copy, download in bulk, scrape, screenshot systematically, or otherwise extract questions, explanations or notes, whether by hand or with software;
• republish, sell, share, or distribute our content, including in coaching classes, Telegram or Facebook groups, PDFs or apps;
• use our content to build a competing product, question bank, or to train a machine-learning model;
• remove or alter any copyright notice, or present our content as your own.

MECEE-BL, IOM and college names are used only to describe the exam and institutions concerned; the marks belong to their owners.

10. Content you submit

You may submit reading materials to the community library, send feedback, ask the AI questions and upload photos (“User Content”). You keep whatever rights you have in it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, edit for format and clarity, publish, and display your User Content on the Service, and to use it to run, moderate and improve the Service, for as long as it remains on the Service and thereafter only as needed for backups, legal compliance and de-identified analysis.

• You promise that you own the User Content or have permission to share it, that it does not copy someone else’s textbook, notes or questions without permission, and that it contains no personal data about others, malware, or unlawful material.
• Community materials are reviewed before publication. We may approve, reject, edit or remove any submission at our discretion and without giving reasons beyond the review note.
• Approved materials are published under the name on your account. You may ask us to take a material down or de-attribute it at any time.
• If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us (section 20) with the URL, proof of ownership and your contact details, and we will investigate and remove it where appropriate.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat in any test, quiz or tournament, including by looking up answers, using multiple accounts, replaying papers, or using automation, browser extensions or scripts to answer or to extract questions;
• manipulate leaderboards, XP, streaks, badges, referrals or any other ranking or reward system;
• circumvent, disable or interfere with plan limits, rate limits, timers, the exam player, or any security feature;
• probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or access data or accounts that are not yours;
• harass, threaten, impersonate or defame anyone, or post content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory or unlawful under Nepali law;
• send spam, chain messages or unsolicited promotion through any feature, including the referral programme and feedback form;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Service except where the law expressly allows;
• use the Service for any commercial purpose, such as running a coaching class off it, without our written agreement;
• use the Service in a way that could damage, overload or impair it or interfere with anyone else’s use.

If you find a security flaw, please report it to us privately (section 20) rather than exploiting or publicising it. We do not take action against good-faith reporters who follow this request.

12. Leaderboards, tournaments, XP and badges

• Your masked name (first name and last initial) and score, rank, XP or streak may appear on public leaderboards, including to visitors who are not signed in. Contact us if you want to be hidden.
• Points, badges, streaks and streak freezes are for motivation. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged, and may be recalculated, reset or removed if we change the rules or find they were obtained unfairly.
• Tournament and grand mock rules, eligibility, tie-breaks and any prize are set out on the tournament or event page. Prizes are typically a period of a paid plan added to the winning account and are not paid in cash. We may disqualify entries and void results for any breach of section 11.

13. Emails and notifications

We send service emails that you cannot opt out of while you hold an account: email verification, password reset, payment receipts, payment-review and payout results, and important notices about these Terms or security. We send announcements (grand mock schedules and reminders) only while you leave them switched on, and every one carries an unsubscribe link. Push notifications are sent only to devices where you granted permission and can be switched off at /notifications or in your browser.

14. Ending the agreement

• By you. You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account from /account. Deletion takes effect after a 7-day grace period during which signing in again cancels it; it is then permanent, and ends any remaining paid period without refund except as provided in section 6.
• By us. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account is used for fraud or abuse, or if we discontinue the Service. For a discontinuation we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund the unused part of any paid period. For a breach, no refund is due.
• Sections that by their nature should survive (our content, your content licence, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) continue after termination.

15. Availability and timed exams

We work to keep the Service available around the clock, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hosting incidents, gateway or AI-provider outages, and factors outside our control may make the Service temporarily unavailable.

Timed mocks run against our server clock. The exam player saves your answers as you go, and an attempt interrupted by a lost connection can normally be resumed within its time window, after which it is submitted with the answers saved so far. You are responsible for a stable connection and a device that works; we do not extend time or reset attempts for connectivity or device problems, except at our discretion when the fault was clearly ours.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that questions, explanations, notes, notices, predictions or AI output are correct, complete or current, that the Service will meet your needs, or that using it will lead to any particular exam result or admission.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nepsor Technology Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of exam performance, admission, opportunity, income, data or goodwill, arising from or connected with the Service, however caused, even if we were told it was possible.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and NPR 1,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nepsor Technology Pvt. Ltd. and its officers, employees and contractors from any claim, loss, damage, liability and reasonable legal cost arising from your User Content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your misuse of the Service.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to sue in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.

20. General terms and changes

• Changes. We may revise these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. Using the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms; if you do not, stop using the Service and, where a change materially reduces a paid plan, ask for a pro-rata refund under section 6.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the pricing and event pages they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
• Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
• No waiver. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not transfer this agreement. We may transfer it to a successor of the business on notice to you.
• Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
• Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience; the English text prevails.
